On July 6th, 24 participants took part in the Third International Webinar organized by the YIN. After listening to testimonies from Kusum Tamang, a Life Project 4 Youth Star from Nepal, and Maria Krizanta Zara, Human Resources Director for Sodexo On-site Services Philippines, Inc. The participants were then invited to take part in an open discussion on “How to ensure Youth retention in a company”.
The main points to retain from these testimonies and discussions are the following:
> Youth retention depends on successful integration process
> Key factors must be taken into consideration when speaking about Youth retention: the motivation of the Youth; the problems he/she can face (geography, money, inclusion,...); his/her willingness to move elsewhere
> Adapted guidance is essential for retention. The role of managers is primordial in this regard
