On 29th June, 30 Youth from Life Project 4 Youth India were able to benefit from a training delivered by Sujata Chatterjee, from Twirl Store. During this training, the Youth from Howrah and Chennai received precious advice on the Basics of Sales:
> Sujata first introduced sales as career, sales - both online/offline using social media, relationships ... Particularly important in these times of pandemic!
> The Youth were then invited to ask all their questions on sales, marketing, ....
> The training ended with a live practice session on sales: the Youth were asked to practice the sale of a product (such as a bag). An amazing exercise during which some Youth demonstrated their capacity of sellers!!!
We are really grateful to Sujata for her dedication and the organisation of this training!
A reminder about Twirl Store: It was launched with the aim of minimizing cloth wastage and ensuring women empowerment, and recently joined the YIN India
Description of this amazing initiative by its founder, Sujata Chatterjee:
"We encourage one-and-all to send their unwanted clothing/fabrics to us and they are provided as garments to those in need or upcycled for use as fabric by rural women.
Twirl’s philosophy is that ‘retail’ should always benefit society and the environment and we believe in reaching out to the less-privileged sections of society, to help them with their needs.
The upcycled fabric products in range of bags, accessories, home-décor, gift items etc are unique limited-editions, handcrafted by rural craftswomen.
In fact, Team Twirl is a symbol of women empowerment with every role in the organisation being performed by ladies from less-fortunate backgrounds."
